How to Make a Facebook Post Shareable

To make your Facebook post shareable, tweak your privacy settings to make sharing easy. Actually, Facebook’s privacy settings control every aspect of your profile. This includes who sees your photos, post, who you can tag, and lots more. On your own, you can change privacy settings on an individual post that you want to make shareable.

You only need to click the “Privacy” icon next to the post time stamp and select either “Friends” or “Public.” Choose “Friends” if you want friends to be able to share the post. However, if you want anyone to see the post, select “Public”.

Also, you can change your privacy settings for future posts once you click the drop-down arrow in the top right corner of Facebook and choose “Settings” and then “Privacy.” Click “Who can see your future posts” and select “Friends” to make all future posts shareable by your friends. This is easy to do right? Don’t forget, you can change this setting any time you want from the Privacy section.

Sharing Posts from Pages

Facebook Pages are public and anyone can view and like the page. In this case, the Page’s posts are public and anyone can share them. Also, you can share a post from a Facebook page. All you need to do is to click or tap “Share” below the post and type in a message to accompany the shared post. Tap or click “Share Now” to share that post with your Facebook friends. This is so easy and simple.

Sharing Posts from Groups

Facebook groups can be either public or private, and this affects whether Facebook posts from the group are shareable. Public Facebook groups are fully open to everyone on Facebook, even those who are not members.

You can share Facebook posts from public groups by clicking or tapping “Share” below the post. If the Facebook group is private, you can only share posts from the group with fellow members of that group.

Sharing Posts from Friends

To share a friend’s post on Facebook, your friend has added that to the privacy settings. If you do not see the Share button below a friend’s Facebook post, it means he locked down his profile. It is only when the friend changes the privacy settings on a post to “Friends” that you can share or like the post.

How to Make a Facebook Group Anonymous

To do this, set your Facebook group to “Secret”. It will become anonymous.

Facebook groups allow users to share messages and multimedia with a private set of Facebook users. Usually, Facebook group admins, invite anyone they want to join. Whatever you share on this group is not shared on members’ Facebook profiles.

There are three main privacy settings, accessible through the group’s general settings, that exist for Facebook groups: Open, Closed, and Secret. “Open” permits anyone to view and join the group. “Closed” permits anyone to see that the group exists, but only members can view the actual content. The most anonymous privacy setting is “Secret.” Only members can see a secret Facebook group. This last one protects the group.
