Dell Boomi is a multi-purpose cloud integration platform for designing cloud-based integration processes called ATOMS and moving data between the on-premises app and the cloud.
What is it used for?
The software is 100 percent native cloud. It’s a shared-everything, multi-tenant platform that supports cloud-to-cloud, SaaS-to-SaaS, cloud-to-on-premises, on-premises-to-on-premises, and B2B integration.
Boomi also supports real-time integration and elastically scales to meet high-volume needs in mobile, batch (ETL), and EDI environments. Easily accessed via a browser, it delivers an impressive range of cloud-based integration, API management, and master data management.
Where is Dell Boomi hosted?
In 2000, Rick Nucci founded native cloud software, formerly known as Boomi, which started with configuration-based integration.
But it later released its Atmosphere version in 2007, which was the first integration cloud release. At the end of 2010, Dell acquired Boomi, and the name “Dell Boomi” came into existence. The software’s first hosted place was in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, at the launch of its first service in 2007.
How does it work?
The platform allows its users to build and deploy integration processes using a two-way method:
- Visual interface
- Drag-and-drop technique
But when the Atmosphere version was released in 2007, the visual, point-and-click interface, which can be used through a web browser for building integration, was introduced.
Is Dell Boomi an ETL tool?
Yes, the software is an ETL tool for data transfer between two different platforms (cloud and on-premises).
How much does it cost?
