In Facebook Login most times people don’t log in to a third-party site or app with their social network account because they aren’t sure if the login details of their social account specifically Facebook information is going to be secured. Though, it’s so much easier to use a Facebook login option to access membership or gain access into a third party site than filling forms to create a new account.

In Facebook Login

Recently, most third-party sites don’t even give you a choice anymore to either login by filling a membership form or use your social network account to sign in; it’s either you sign up using your social accounts like Google account, Twitter account, Instagram, or your Facebook account or nothing else.

Signing up using Facebook Details

When signing up in a third party site with your Facebook details you can actually decide aside your basic info what other details they can access. The most important thing to remember is that when a site you’re signing up says they want access to your information you can actually make adjustments to what they can access.

You can deny an app or third-party site access to your to important information like friends list, but you can’t deny them access to real basic profile details such as your name, age, gender and profile picture.

But you can actually control when the app or site says they want to post to your timeline on your behalf, you can actually choose the privacy level of those posts then and there.

Instead of blindly clicking okay, stop and change the privacy to “Friends Only”, some custom friends list or “Only Me”. That way, the app can make as many posts as it likes and only the right people will see it. You can also choose to skip this part and not let the app post at all.

Third-party Anonymous Login

Some sites and apps will grant you access to login as anonymous for a trial period which may last for a week and sometimes days. By using this, the application won’t get any information from your Facebook account.

This gives you the privilege to first test if the app or site is really great and one you can trust with vital Facebook details before giving them access.
